Fans of Korean barbecue may get a dining option along Bee Ridge, thanks to an aspiring street vendor.

B-Bob Owner Charlie Chi said the food trailer would operate as part of an agreement between him, the owner of the Marathon station, and a Bradenton restaurant. Chi has applied for a street vendor permit for his trailer, which is not large enough to accommodate a grill, and plans to cook food at Sam Ho Jung restaurant in Bradenton to be warmed in the trailer.

Sarasota County commissioners will consider the permit at their Dec. 8 meeting.

He will at the intersection Wednesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the permit. He will also be there most Sundays, he said.

Chi didn’t have an estimate for when the trailer would open for business. The permit hasn’t yet been approved, Chi said, but once it is, he will formalize an agreement with Nam Goong, who owns Sam Ho Jung.

Chi said he also wants to open a restaurant on University Parkway.
