The Sarasota Board of County Commissioners will take the show on the road to south Sarasota County Tuesday, meeting in Venice to discuss a range of topics.

Topping the board’s agenda will be capital projects and financial planning issues including a funding decision regarding $112,000 in lawsuit settlements and a proposal to increase the budget for outdoor lighting at Ed Smith Stadium by more than $270,000 — putting the project at a total cost of nearly $1.2 million.

Other items up for discussion Tuesday include:

• Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Grant Program Application to the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of EMS, for the improvement and expansion of the existing County PreHospital Emergency Medical Services System in the amount of $50,662.
• Authorization for approximately $9 million in general services spending on fleet vehicles.
• Authorization for $1,125,000 in library services spending.
• A proposal by Commissioner Nora Patterson to draft an ordinance relating to the abatement of graffiti as a public nuisance.

The BCC will meet 9:00 a.m., Nov. 5, at the Robert L. Anderson Administration Building, 4000 South Tamiami Trail, Venice.
