by: Jen Blanco Sports Editor

The East County Observer and Bogey’s Restaurant and Sports Pub have teamed up to showcase the East County’s top athletes. Each recipient’s article will be featured on the restaurant’s wall.

Braden River High freshman Courtney Mirabella went 7-for-13 at the plate this week with a pair of doubles, two stolen bases, two RBIs and three runs scored, helping lead the Lady Pirates to a 4-2 record. Mirabella also pitched three complete games, allowing seven runs on 15 hits while striking out 22 and walking 11.
