The Hershorin Schiff Community Day School hosted Pour’em Another! Purim Celebration & Whiskey Tasting on March 3 in the spirit of the Jewish holiday, Purim.

The celebration was held at Michael’s On East, bringing Community Day supporters together, with proceeds benefiting the school. More than 160 community members attended, many of whom participated in the whiskey tasting.

Whiskey Obsession founder Turner Moore led the whiskey tasting, which included four different kinds of the libation. Participants did a blind tasting and were asked to illustrate and graph their experiences. After the tasting, guests enjoyed an evening of dancing with a live DJ. Local businesses Influence Style and WeCraftBox set up shop and donated 20% of all sales back to the school.

During the event, the school revealed its plans for “Uncle Mikey’s Playground.” Michael Corbino Outdoor Adventure Park, named in honor of a school family member, will have three unique age-appropriate play features including a rock wall-inspired climbing area, a tricycle BMX track, and a splash park.
