Arts Center awards its members

The annual Members’ Juried Exhibition at the Longboat Key Center for Arts, a Division of Ringling College of Art and Design, showcases a wide variety of work. More than 80 pieces are currently on display.

The show opened Feb. 19 and will continue through March 19. Awards from the exhibit went to: Christina Castera, “Illuminated Island,” best in show; Carol Campean, “Green Rules,” first place; Shirley Beachum, “Above Sedona, AZ,” second place; William Jensen, “Pensivity,” third place. Honorable mentions went to
Patrick Bogert, “Lidded Bowl”; Nell Rude, “After Dark”; and Lynn Mayne, “Night Flyer.”

The juror of the show was Kim Anderson, assistant professor of art at New College of Florida.
