Armed suspects rob Ranch Chevron

Two suspects held the clerk at a Lakewood Ranch gas station at gunpoint to steal about $50 and cigarettes last night.

According to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports, at about 11:43 p.m., Oct. 28, two suspects entered the Chevron, 14315 S.R. 70 E. One suspect approached the counter, pulled a revolver from his waistband and pointed it at the clerk. The second suspect then went behind the clerk’s counter and took money from the register and also cigarettes.

The suspects fled the store eastbound in a two-door teal car.

Sheriff’s office deputies arrived on scene but were not able to locate the suspects. No one was injured, and no shots were fired.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5-foot-7, 185 pounds. He wore a white shirt, blue long shorts, white shoes and a black ball cap and white bandanna. The second suspect also was a black male in his 20s, 6-foot-2, thin and had a goatee. He wore all black clothing and a grey knit cap.
