Armed man robs East County 7-Eleven

An armed man robbed an East County 7-Eleven early this morning. 

An unknown black male armed with a semi-automatic handgun and wearing a blue bandana over his face demanded a clerk hand over cigarettes and cash, then fled from the store after receiving the items. 

No one was hurt during the incident, which occurred around 12:40 a.m. at the 5900 block of 53rd Avenue E. 

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 black male in his mid 20s. He wore a gray baseball hat, gray pants and a black, long-sleeved sweatshirt during the incident.
