Animal Services hosts adopt-a-thon

Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services will hold its annual spring adopt-a-thon Saturday, April 16.

Dogs and cats will be available for adoption at reduced prices. Those adopting a new pet also will receive a free “starter kit,” with food, treats and other necessities.

The event also will serve a celebration to the volunteers who keep Animal Services running. Citizens will get a chance to learn how they also can become volunteers.

The adopt-a-thon will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8451 Bee Ridge Road.
