Aldi opens new store

Aldi opened its newest grocery store today at 4525 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton, at the northeast corner of 45th Street East and 53rd Avenue East.

Hundreds of East County shoppers crowded into the new store for fresh produce, dry goods and home supplies.

“Ninety-five percent of our products are private label, our own brand,” Aldi’s Regional Director of Operations Andreas Rohlfing said. “Almost everything you see, you won’t see at any other grocery stores.”

Rohlfing said Aldi looked for a second location in Manatee County because Aldi’s store on Cortez Road is overcrowded.
