4-H to host golf benefit

The Manatee County 4-H Foundation is asking local golfers to lend their heads, hearts, hands and health in support of the 19th annual Clover Classic Golf Tournament Feb. 27.

The annual fundraiser, which benefits 4-H youth programs in Manatee County, will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. at The Preserve Golf Club at Tara, located at 7310 Tara Preserve Lane, Bradenton.

Registration for the event is $100 and includes a green fee, cart, lunch and door prizes. All golfers also will have a chance to qualify for hole-in-one, closest pin and longest drive prizes.

The Manatee County 4-H Foundation is a non-profit education organization, offering programs to children ages 5-18.
