Interested voters: Wanting to vote isn't enough to secure a ballot tomorrow.

Knowing which types of photo identification are required and where to vote are critical pieces of the 2014 General Election puzzle that will determine whether individuals can vote for their chosen politicians.

According to the Florida Divisions of Elections website, acceptable forms of photo identification include —

Florida driver's license or identification card used by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles

United States passport

Debit or credit cards

Military identification

Student identification

Retirement center identification

Neighborhood association identification

Public assistance identification

All forms of identification must contain a signature from the cardholder.

Individuals who don't bring the proper identification can potentially still vote by filling out a provisional ballot. But, certain requirements — being eligible to vote and voting in the proper precinct — must be met.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 4, at various locations countywide.

Polling locations and other Election Day information can be found online at votemanatee.com.
