+ Ackerman named top Sarasota-Manatee agent
Coldwell Banker announced that broker associate Barbara Ackerman is the top agent for closed sales volume for Sarasota and Manatee counties for the fourth consecutive month.

Ackerman has worked in Longboat Key and Sarasota real estate for more than 20 years. She recently served as co-chairwoman for the Moffitt Cancer Center and has worked with the Asolo Repertory Theatre and Season of Sculpture. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation.

“Barbara is consistently a top-performing, innovative and responsive real-estate professional who is actively and passionately involved with her community,” said Bob Stanley, managing broker of the company’s Longboat Key office, in a prepared statement. “On top of all that, she maintains a very close-knit personal life with her family. She is truly amazing.”

+ Pettingell announces a busy start to the season
Roger Pettingell, sales associate at Coldwell Banker Previews, announced a busy start to the 2009-10 season with $8 million in contracted sales for the month of October. Pettingell also listed 12 new properties on Longboat, Lido and Bird keys during October.

“I believe we are seeing a bottom,” Pettingell said in a prepared statement. “Sellers are much more realistic about the value of their homes, and buyers don’t want to miss out on incredible values.”
