+ $13 million Longboat Key estate hits the market
Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate announced that the Johnson estate, located on more than two acres with 150 feet of beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico, has entered the market for $13 million, currently the highest listed price on Longboat Key.
Built in 2007, the home has more than 10,000 square feet, seven bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a resort-style swimming pool and a four-car garage.
The home is listed by Barbara Ackerman, Previews property specialist at Coldwell’s Longboat Key office.
“This is one of the first beachfront homes on Longboat Key to become available in years,” said Ackerman, in a prepared statement. “It is difficult to find such a rare jewel for sale in this area. I am proud to represent the finest estate on Longboat Key.”

A Sarasota property listed by Marnie Matarese and Dan Jasmer, of Re/Max Excellence, was featured Oct. 28, in the “What You Get for … ” feature in The New York Times.
This week’s article featured homes priced at approximately $450,000. The 3,183-square-foot home is described as a “semi-detached Mediterranean-style house with three bedrooms, three baths and a terra cotta-tiled roof.” The home is listed at $449,500.
Also featured in the article are a 2,343-square-foot ranch-style home in Southfield, Mich., for $450,000, and a Bovina, N.Y., home with 1,200 square feet listed at $455,000.
+ Glanz earns distressed property expert certification
Ramona Glanz, broker/owner of Re/Max Excellence, has earned the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation. The designation is awarded to Realtors who have completed extensive training in foreclosure avoidance and short sales.

Built in 1997, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,169 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2,320,000 in 2005.
