Sarasota - Four-bedroom home in South Cocoanut Bayou tops transactions

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between Aug. 27 and Aug. 31.
A home in South Cocoanut Bayou tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Comerica Bank sold the home at 819 Mangrove Point Road to Robert Palma, Christopher Palma and Jacqueline Palma, of St. Salonga, N.Y., for $1,065,000. Built in 1967, it has four bedrooms, five baths, a pool and 4,581 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $650,400 in 2009.
Siesta Isles
Judith Glasscock, of Sarasota, sold her home at 819 Paradise Way to James and Carol Gosart, of Sarasota, for $872,500. Built in 1996, it has four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,505 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $840,000 in 2002.
Sara Sands
Clayton and Diane Thompson sold their home at 5172 Higel Ave. to Angela Fischer, of Sarasota, for $850,000. Built in 1999, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 3,436 square feet of living area.
Simone Korb, of Venice, sold her home at 5071 Windward Ave. to Brian and Cheryl Miller, of Kennett Square, Pa., for $335,000. Built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,512 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $337,000 in 2000.
Bay Island Shores
Douglas Wagner, trustee, of Jersey City, N.J., sold the home at 763 Freeling Drive to David and Kathryn Fleeman, of Sarasota, for $600,000. Built in 1954, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,616 square feet of living area.
Gulf and Bay Club
Stearns Bank sold the Unit 707 condominium at 5790 Midnight Pass Road to John and Mary Scherrer, of Tonawanda, N.Y., for $600,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,335 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $700,000 in May.

The Northern Trust Co. and Gordon Holmes, trustees, of Naples sold the home at 3332 Gulfmead Drive to Sam Norton, trustee, of Sarasota, for $3.6 million. Built in 1997, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,169 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2,320,000 in 2005.
