+ SAR announces nominees for 2011 board of directors
The Sarasota Association of Realtors Nominating Committee announced the following nominees as officers for the 2011 board of directors: Michael Bruno, of Prudential Palms Realty, for president; Laura Benson, of Michael Saunders & Co., for vice president; Roger Piro, of Town and Country, for treasurer; Dave Swenson, of EXIT Creative Realty, for secretary; and Erick Shumway, of Re/Max Alliance Group, as immediate past president.

Nominated as new three-year directors are: Peter Crowly, of Re/Max Alliance Group; Carla Rayman, of Prudential Palms Realty; Mary Smedley, of Prudential Palms Realty; Stafford Starcher, of Re/Max Alliance Group; and Drayton Saunders, of Michael Saunders & Co.

The election will take place Sept. 17, at the SAR annual meeting.
