A home in Bird Key tops all transactions in this week's real estate. Patricia Valenti, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 647 N. Owl Drive to Robert O’Connell, of Decatur, Ill., for $1.62 million.

Patricia Valenti, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 647 N. Owl Drive to Robert O’Connell, of Decatur, Ill., for $1.62 million. Built in 2004, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 4,520 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.5 million in 2007.

Dream Island
Neal and Jennifer Horne sold their home at 648 Dream Island Road to Jonathan and Barbara Grimes, of Longboat Key, for $1.45 million. Built in 2005, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 3,631 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.55 million in 2005.

Country Club Shores
Judith Hammond, of Moreland Hills, Ohio, sold her home at 572 Cutter Lane to Robert DeKock, trustee, of Muscatine, Iowa, for $1.25 million. Built in 1965, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,069 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $337,500 in 1997.

Grand Bay
Gary and Melinda Ozaroff, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 362 condominium at 3030 Grand Bay Blvd. to Benjamin and Phyllis Neel, of Toronto, Canada, for $825,000. Built in 1998, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 2,143 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $725,000 in 2001.

Bay Isles
U.S. Bank, trustee, sold the home at 1591 Harbor Cay Lane to Turner Porter, of Exeter, N.H., for $780,000. Built in 1987, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,789 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $745,000 in 1995.

Beachplace
Cheryle Carrier, of Scarborough, Maine, sold her Unit 103 condominium at 1135 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Roger Pettingell, of Sarasota, for $500,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,392 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $982,500 in 2005.

Seaplace
Thomas and Jackie Michaelides, of Columbus, Ohio, sold their Unit M1-515-G condominium at 2045 Gulf of Mexico Drive to David Rzotkiewicz and Joseph Taylor, of Pittsburgh, for $400,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,076 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $179,000 in 1993.

Sand Dollar South
Malcolm Thompson, Eugene Cronin III, Christopher Cronin and Cathe Echterhoff, trustees, of Orland, Maine, sold the Unit 1 condominium at 711 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Audrey Jensen, of Sarasota, for $400,000. Built in 1986, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,522 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $250,000 in 1997.

Embassy Villas
Michael and Theoni Smyth, of Bradenton, sold their Unit 4 condominium at 800 S. Blvd. of the Presidents to Bernard and Judith Havard, of Somers Point, N.J., for $285,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,060 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $425,000 in 2005.
