+ Correction
In the Dec. 26 issue, we inadvertently omitted the top home sale in the listing of the top transactions of 2013. The highest home-sale price was $10 million for the home at 3410 Flamingo Ave., on Siesta Key.
The six-bedroom property, sold in February, is called “Snook Inn” for its Old Florida resort-like feel, according to a release from Michael Saunders & Co., whose agents represented both the buyer and seller. The sellers were Philip and Brooke Callanen; buyers were Kenneth and Grace Solinsky, of Bedford, N.H.

The more than 6,000-square-foot home, with a deep-water, double-vessel boathouse, is on nearly two acres with 500 feet that front Sarasota Bay. The home features an antique pine-paneled library, custom millwork, waterfront verandas and a one-bedroom guest suite attached to the boathouse. A resort-style swimming pool is outside, in addition to shuffleboard courts. The architect was Clifford Scholz, and the builder was Michael Collingwood.
