Florida Studio Theatre hosted a barbecue cookout June 8, featuring live music from the Manatee River Bluegrass Band, JDub's beer and, of course, barbecue — prepared by John Markus, co-writer of "The Fabulous Lipitones" and Ray “Dr. BBQ” Lampe.
Markus is also creator and executive producer of the TLC television series "BBQ Pitmasters."
