The Players Theatre is proud to have the area’s premiere of the musical, “9 to 5." Based on the 21st Century Fox hit movie about friendship, colleagues and revenge. The story revolves around three working ladies: Violet Newstead (played by Nancy Denton), Doralee Rhodes (played by Alana Opie) and Judy Bernly (played by Eve Caballero) who are tired of working for their lecherous boss Franklin Hart Jr. (played by George Naylor). The fireworks start when the girls team up and devise a plan to take over the company. This sassy musical features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. “9 to 5” will preview at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13. There will be evening shows at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14, 16, 19, 20, 21 and 23. There will be matinee shows at 2 p.m. Feb. 17, 23 and 24. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and one hour prior to curtain time. The Players Box Office is located on Tamiami Trail between 10th Street and Boulevard of the Arts.
