Mote's 2013 Special Lecture Series will showcase world-famous speakers discussing marine and science-related topics on Monday evenings in February and March. Feb. 18: Carlton Ward (Photographer) "Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition" Doors open at 7 p.m. Ticket holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets must be purchased in advance. A limited number of tickets might be available at the door on lecture nights, but we cannot guarantee availability. Tickets are non-refundable, unless Mote cancels the lecture. Distant relatives of Mable Ringling visit The Ringling
This week, four great nieces and nephews of Mable Ringling are in town from New Mexico to visit The Ringling and Sarasota. Mable Burton Ringling was one of five daughters and never had any children. One of her sisters was Dulcy Burton Schueler.
Circle solicitation worries continue
The St. Armands Circle BID wants clarification from the city attorney and possibly the Sarasota City Commission over solicitation issues on the Circle.
