Beethoven's "Emperor" Concerto will be performed at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Pianist Joyce Yang, critically acclaimed as "the most gifted young pianist of her generation" with a "million-volt stage presence," is an ideal interpreter of this mighty concerto.
