The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance presents "Competitive Advantage” presented by Alan Mong at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Keiser University Auditorium. Alan Mong is a high-energy speaker with a passion for helping others excel. His entrepreneurial spirit and extensive sales background give him the expertise to work with businesses and organizations of all kinds. A former traffic reporter, Alan’s communication style is conversational, light hearted, and focused. He constantly reviews the latest research on what makes people tick, so that he can bring clients the most effective programs possible. Alan’s clients span mom and pop businesses to some of the largest companies in Florida. The event is sponsored by Keiser University.

Sarasota Memorial names new CEO
The Sarasota County Public Hospital Board named former Sarasota Memorial Chief Operating Officer David Verinder as CEO in a unanimous vote Friday. Verinder has served as interim CEO since the departure of Gwen MacKenzie in May.
