Kitty Kelley, an internationally acclaimed writer and New York Times best-selling author, will travel to Sarasota for a luncheon at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Marina Jack. The luncheon will be hosted by the Women’s Resource Center of Sarasota County (WRCSC), a not-for-profit organization that empowers women to become self-reliant through personal, social and professional growth opportunities and educational scholarships. Kelley combines her talents with legendary photographer Stanley Tretick on the new novel “CAPTURING CAMELOT - Stanley Tretick’s Iconic Images of the Kennedys.” During this event, she will discuss and sign the evoking and historical book, which features never-before-seen photos. This is a precursor event to Renaissance, the WRCSC’s annual Sarasota fundraiser to be held in March. The 2013 theme is Redefining Balance and will feature guest speaker Anne-Marie Slaughter, an academic, author and a foreign policy analyst. The funds raised help support the many programs and services provided by the WRCSC. For more information or reservations call 366-1700 or visit Magical_Time_Luncheon.CharityHappenings.org.
