  • Nuclear is not cost effective. It's a fantasy.

  • Over the long term, nuclear is still very cost effective. Moreover, it's a necessity if we want cleaner air. Nuclear is the only zero-emission source that is base-load, large quantity continuously-operating electricity supply. Jerry Paul

  • The problem with nuclear power is that it's too expensive. The plants that have been built are heavily subsidized. Unless the costs could be brought down it's not a feasible alternative to gas or coal.

    Natural gas is the best solution right now. It's plentiful in the United States and it burns cleaner than coal or oil.
