During the Nov. 1 Siesta Key Village Association meeting, Cheryl Gaddie, president of the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce, invited everyone to participate in a VIP meet-and-greet reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 8, for the international participants coming to the Key for the second Crystal Classic Master Sandsculpting Competition.

The Hyatt Siesta Key on Crescent Beach will host the VIP event, she said, which will allow the sculptors to preview their skills during mini competitions.

Tickets are $125, with proceeds going toward the expenses of the Crystal Classic, which will be held Nov. 10-14 on Siesta Public Beach.
