Siesta Key residents and business owners before this afternoon will get the chance to voice their support or opposition to a one-year permit for GumboMojo to operate a food truck in the Village.

The Sarasota County Commission today will hear public comment, evidence, and testimony regarding the temporary-use permit, which the Siesta Key Association, the Siesta Key Village Association, and the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce all oppose. It is the first of three hearings scheduled for the end of the morning session, which usually ends before noon.

“This is an important issue Siesta Key Village since this permit, if approved and will cost this business peanuts, will not end with (one) food truck. Show your support in opposition of this permit by attending this important meeting,” the message concludes.
