All eyes are on red tide

I would hope that there is an on going study of the red tide problem. It is like worrying about the leak in the roof only when it rains. Is there a way to alter the organism to shorten it's life cycle? Let's treat it like an infection in the body. Is there an antibiotic that will cure the body and not harm the enviroment? Let us be proactive.
