The extremely narrow Siesta Key Beach Access 12 will welcome a turnaround area to help drivers navigate their way back out to the roadway.
That is just one of the improvements planned for the beach access point at the intersection of Stickney Point Road and Midnight Pass Road.
Drainage problems in the parking will be repaired and pavement striping will be added.
The $100,594 project will begin Monday, Aug. 1, and will force the closure of the access point for much of August.
