In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, church members enjoyed an Irish meal and traditional song and dance Saturday, March 10. Father Dave Cottingham played traditional bagpipe songs, and guests were treated to a visit from members of the Drake School of Irish Dance, who showed off their fancy footwork.

The Siesta Key Association held its annual meeting Saturday, March 10 at St. Boniface Episcopal Church. Following a breakfast, members heard from President Catherine Luckner, Commissioner Nora Patterson and Community Services Director John McCarthy. Dr. Stephen Leatherman, or “Dr. Beach,” was the meeting’s featured guest.

Bluegrass fans and newcomers stomped their feet to the tunes of Benny Kimsey’s Bluegrass Picnic Saturday, March 10, at the Turtle Beach pavilion. This is the second picnic since Kimsey brought the popular concert back last fall. Attendees enjoyed food and music by the Skeeterland Bluegrass Band, Sycamore Shade, Siesta Key Boys and the Tonga Street Bluegrass Band.
