Sarasota County Parks and recreation will host the 36th annual Sandy Claws 5k run on Siesta Public Beach Saturday, Dec. 7.

Registration begins 7 a.m. Sunday morning at the picnic shelter next to the playground.

Over 400 people are expected to participate in the run. Awards will be presented to first through sixth place in each age category. Registered participants will also be entered into a raffle for prizes.

Registration on race day is $25 and includes a t-shirt.
