Siesta Key residents have been among the hundreds of Temple Emanu-El members and guests enjoying summer Shabbat celebrations at the synagogue. Every Friday night during the summer, Temple Emanu-El holds a kiddush gathering of wine, challah, cheese and light appetizers at 5:30 p.m., with Shabbat worship services at 6 p.m.
Following the service, all attendees are invited to share a warm and friendly Shabbat dinner at a local restaurant, notes Rabbi Brenner Glickman. Temple Emanu-El is located at 151 McIntosh Road. For more information, call 371-2788.
