Turtle Beach was the beautiful setting, as more than 100 members and guests of Temple Emanu-El gathered on June 18 for the third annual Beach Cookout and Havdalah.
Sponsored by Temple Emanu-El’s Brotherhood and Sisterhood, the event brought every generation together to kick off Temple Emanu-El’s summer programming. Attendees enjoyed freshly grilled burgers and hot dogs, homemade side dishes, desserts and fresh fruit. They socialized under the shaded pavilion and on the beach, frolicked in the ocean and played lawn games.
As the sun set over the ocean, attendees joined Rabbi Brenner Glickman at the water’s edge to mark the end of the Sabbath with a musical Havdalah service.
