In her early 20s, after college, while working at Fisherman’s Paradise in Michigan, Jessie Dunn would exercise the horses. She rode them 5 miles into town everyday. Here she met her fist husband, Robert Glidden, who splashed her with rainwater while driving by after a rainy day.

Jessie Dunn loves the water and was once a great swimmer. "I love the water; I have always been around it." Her daughter recalls a time when Jessie would swim across the lake at her cousin's complex. "No one was able to swim across that lake but Mom."
