Council's guidelines clarified for arts grants applications

By unanimous vote Nov. 17, the Sarasota County Tourist Development Council approved changes in its grants policy guidelines, part of which were designed to eliminate any confusion over eligibility of applicants for funding.

Judge calls term limit ballot language 'deficient'

Senior Judge Jack Schoonover Monday, Nov. 21, declared 'very deficient' the language approved last week by the Sarasota County Commission for a proposed county charter amendment scheduled to go on the Jan. 31 ballot.
