VIDEO: Sand sculpture explodes on Siesta Key Beach

The sand sculpture with the fewest audience votes was eliminated by explosion.
The Travel Channel filmed an episode of its show “Sand Wars” today on Siesta Key Beach. For the show, both professional and amateur sand-sculpting teams competed for the audience's favor.
After each elimination round, the sculpture with the fewest audience votes was annihilated with a bang.
The filming will continue through Tuesday, and eventually all the sculptures will be exploded. The show will be airing sometime before June 2012.
