Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies investigated two vehicle burglaries on Siesta Key last week but didn’t find evidence of forced entry in either case.
Cassandra Rodriguez, a 25-year-old Shell Road resident, called deputies after she noticed her iPod and $20 cash were missing from her vehicle Monday, Oct. 22. She said the car was parked at her home and might have been unlocked.
Deputies responded to two women who said someone took their purses while they were on Turtle Beach. The purses contained cash and a cell phone, which deputies were unable to locate remotely.
