The Sarasota Memorial Hospital Board of Directors will accept public comments until 4:30 p.m. today on the medical center’s millage rate and fiscal year 2011 budget. The millage rate proposed is 1.0863, no change from last year.

The board will hold its regular meeting at 1 p.m. in the auditorium on the second floor of the Waldemere Medical Plaza; the budget hearing will begin at 5:01 p.m.

Among other items on the agenda is approval of the relocation of the University Parkway Urgent Care Center.
