Four Florida destinations generated more interest than Hawaii for vacation rentals in 2013.

FlipKey, a vacation rental website operated by TripAdvisor, this month revealed that Siesta Key was ranked third in reservation requests for 2013.

The ranking was reported by USA Today Jan. 14, and included seven Florida destinations that were ranked in the top 10. Miami Beach, Panama City and Kissimmee were the only Florida destinations on the list in 2012.

USA Today also listed Siesta Key among the best “beach towns” in Florida. The paper collected 30 million votes to pick the subject of an upcoming feature story.
