Siesta Shuttle Transportation will begin service from Westfield Southgate Mall to Siesta Key this month.

The shuttle will run to Siesta Village and the public beach every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. It will cost $5 for a round trip and children under 12 ride free, according to a company news release.

Siesta Shuttle owns one 40-foot Gillig Phantom bus, which offers on its rear 260 square feet of advertising space.

The firm Jan. 7 launched an eBay auction for six months of the ad space. There have been 19 bids on the auction ending Jan. 12, with the latest coming in at $582.
