Friends of Sarasota Ballet met August 11 in Studio 1 at FSU Center for the Performing Arts. It's the same studio where the friends, or the support and fan wing of Sarasota Ballet, usually witnesses rehearsals of the professional company; but instead, they got to sit in on a Carreño-Barbieri Festival for Pre-Professionals class taught by José Manuel Carreño himself. The students stem from as far as Hong Kong and the Royal Ballet School for the three-week program.
