Ticket to space: $200,000.
Sarasota residents Malaka and Ryan Hilton, of Admiral Travel International, witnessed the world debut of Virgin Galactic’s SpaceshipTwo, the world’s finest commercial-manned spaceship, designed to take thousands of private astronauts into space.
The unveiling, held Dec. 7, at Mojave Air and Spaceport, in California, marks one of the biggest advancements in the tourism industry.
Ryan Hilton is one of only 74 Virtuoso travel advisers chosen to train and become an accredited space agent.
“I was thrilled to participate in what was certainly a major milestone in this project,” Hilton said. “It is even more apparent now than ever that there is no brand or company in the world that is better suited to lead the world into the groundbreaking arena of space tourism and the commercial space use than Virgin Galactic. I am proud to participate in this endeavor.”
