+ Going for the gold
Travis Taafe, 17, competed in the 49th Head of the Charles Regatta Oct. 19 and Oct. 20. Taafe is the youngest of four siblings, all who have competed in the Head of Charles Regatta. He rows for the Sarasota Crew, and this will be his fourth year rowing in the Varsity 4. In 2010 he received a silver medal, and in 2011 and 2012 he received gold. This year, Taafe and his boat placed second out of 85 boats.
