Two Men and a Truck’s David Walkley and Brad Durrance were surprised when handed their job sheet for the day recently with instructions to move two full-mount trophies of African lions from Sarasota to Gainesville, to be displayed in the Florida Museum of Natural History on the University of Florida campus. David Mitchem, operations manager, supervised loading the unusual and valuable cargo.
The lions were donated by the family of the late Sarasota attorney Richard E. Nelson, who was a 1955 graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Law.
