The morning of Sept. 9, Booker High School held a flag-unfurling assembly in remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Some of the students present attended Emma E. Booker Elementary when President George W. Bush addressed the nation.
Four students in the ROTC program presented the Florida state flag and the American flag while the school released a giant flag from the roof of the theater. The school participated in a moment of silence for lives lost that day, and the band played the national anthem.
