The eight qualifying contestants for season two of Biggest Loser Sarasota celebrated their season finale with a party at Gecko’s Bar and Grill, on Clark Road. Founder and organizer Patti Stanley recognized the top four people as “The Biggest Losers.”
Ed Cantor and Dina Balsamo took the top-two spots with overall weight losses of 38 and 40 pounds, respectively, and body fat losses of 10%. Jeffery Andrews was the male runner-up, losing 36 pounds. He was also the overall body-fat winner with a loss of 12%. Louise Cannon was the female runner-up, losing 17 pounds and 8% body fat. Winners received more than $1,500 in prizes from sponsors.
Starting this month, Stanley will entertain weekly on WTMY 1280 with her new radio show, “Fitness Attack with Pat.” The show is designed to give listeners exercise moves, easy recipes, healthy eating tips, fitness advice and updates on Biggest Loser Sarasota challenges, as well as updates on “The Biggest Loser,” with guest spots by Bob Harper, trainer for the NBC TV series.
