Renovations to the Vamo United Methodist Church fellowship hall began a couple of weeks ago and are almost complete. Improvements to the room include new paint, carpet and chair railings along the walls. The church also installed a new metal roof a few months ago.
The goal of these changes is to make the church look more modern. The first event to be held in the updated fellowship hall is a meatloaf fundraiser, which takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 31. Call 966-3306.
