Sarasota sure got its inner Geisha and Ronin on Friday, June 12, at Horsefathers.
The Gimme Shelter Pet Adoption TV Show held its Pets in the City fundraiser — this year with a Japanese-style twist — featuring edible martinis and desserts, sumo wrestling, palm reading and massages.
Michelle Sampson, host of the pet adoption TV show, sported her best Japanese ensemble, wowed the crowd with intense eye shadow and gave out colorful Japanese fans to those in attendance.
Sumo wrestlers Nick Salerno and Brandon Brown, above, were a little slow to the dance floor in their air-filled costumes, but gave the audience quite a show as they hammered out some dance moves.
