Local band, the Garbage Men, is raising funds to take its act to the Big Apple. The group that plays homemade instruments made from recycled knickknacks and donates money to charities and eco-friendly causes, has shows lined up in Times Square, The New York Hall of Science, The Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Fort Tryon Park and other venues. The band will donate its tips to the NYC Police Athletic League.
In an effort to raise funds, the group has started a KickStarter page, where fans can donate money to help pay for the trip. The page can be found at http://kck.st/L5xl4D.
