Children living in the Newtown community got to attend a weeklong basketball camp with former Indiana Pacer, Haywoode Workman, June 1 through June 5.
Kraft Construction Company Inc. and the Greater Newtown Redevelopment Corporation partnered for the camp. The camp featured guest speakers such as professional trainer Eric Bailey and Harley Middle School Assistant Principal Marcus Cowart, while helping forge self-confidence, healthy minds and basketball skills in the children.
“Each day, we started with a positive message about being a good person,” said Denise Young, with Kraft Construction.
