Twin brothers Zachary and Evan Rubin, 8, sold art creations they made May 15, at Urfer Park. The brothers were raising money for the Kids to Kids Backpack Program. The twins’ parents agreed to match the funds raised to help the boys give back to less-fortunate children. The twins raised $1,714 with the matching funds from their parents. The proceeds will sponsor 18 backpacks for the school year.

Dreams Are Free held its inaugural Food Truck Rally Wednesday, April 16. Families from both Dreams Are Free and St. Martha’s Catholic School celebrated the beginning of spring break with hot food from food trucks. The luncheon was a fundraiser for the school for students with special needs. “All of our families were able to join together,” says Dreams Are Free Principal Rebecca Shields. “This was really a community builder as well as a fundraiser.”
